야후! 미국에서 Yahoo! Design Week 라는 것을 하네요.
7월 23일~26일까지 야후! 본사가 있는 캘리포니아주 서니베일 캠퍼스에서 합니다.
디자인 하고 제작하는 것에 대해서 야후! 가 스폰서를 하고 학교에서 참가하는 형식 같습니다. 야후! 리서치와 야후! UED가 주관하는 것 같습니다.
 

Yahoo! Design Week is an expanded version of the regular Design Expo. In our role of helping further develop the Yahoo! design community, Yahoo! is sponsoring a series of exciting talks, discussions, and workshops around the theme of Design + Build.
The focus comes from the incredible creativity that Silicon Valley’s startup culture has created, where experimentation and exploration with working code has guided teams of people to reinvent industries and create entire new markets, products and services.

홈페이지에 나온 일정 말고 내부 문서를 보니 이틀 동안 학생들이 데모를 하고 발표를 하네요.
 
 
내부 문서에 있는 포스터 입니다.

디자인 학교의 학생과 교수가 참가하고 학생들이 프로토타입을 만들어와서 전시를 하고 발표를 하는 것 같습니다.
 
디자인 학교와 사용자 경험 디자인이라….
과연 우리나라는 디자인이 디자~인인지 아니면 디자인이 설계 인지 생각이 듭니다.
 
참고로 이 디자인 엑스포를 주관하는 야후! UED(사용자 경험 디자인, User Experience design)는 HCI에 혁혁한 공이 있는 전산과 출신의 래리 테슬러 (Larry Tesler) 가 이끌고 있고, 각 서비스 마다 디자인 매니저(아! 이말은 나중에 다시 설명을 하겠습니다. 우리가 아는 디자인 매니저가 아닙니다)가 있고,그 아래에 인터렉션 디자이너과 비쥬얼 디자이너, 프로토타이퍼, 유저 리서처가 있습니다.
